Stressed!

I'm going to attemp to keep this blog with the process of my foot surgery, since I'll definitely have plenty of time on my hands, and it'll be good to look back on! Here's a little backround on this issue:

Basically ever since I could remember I've had wide awkward feet, and they've always given me some trouble but nothing like it has the past two years, I started running, a lot, which also includes hiking since moving to Hawaii (I'm how selfish not to get out there and see the beauty), well with all of this it's put more pressure on my feet, and literally after all that time and not seeing much of any progress in my ability!

After running the Honolulu marathon, things got worse. Upon getting checked out and x-rays, he had explained what the problem was, lapidus bunionectomy), and possible solution, unfortunately that isn't guaranteed to work, but let's hope it does! My surgery is, shit, I don't even know! The awesome hospital of tripler army medical has never given me much of an answer, it was so last minute that it was going to happen this week, that in all that commotion, I never actually got all the information, heres how it went:

1. I call to check on my surgery date progress, the nurse had nothing yet in the computer, 1 hour later I get a call, oh we had a cancellation for Thursday. I said ok let me talk to my husband and ca L back.

2. I call back, of course not wmthe same lady, I did not even know her name (again super flustered) talk to a guy, my original thought was I'd have PreOp and surgery the same day, since the first lady didn't tell me different.

3. He says my appointment and still thinking it was for Thursday and maybe surgery Friday, but no, Matt gets a call tonight while he wasnt home saying my appointment is tomorrow! WTF!

To many emotions are flying through my head, I'm very scared, very nervous! I will be off the foot for 6-8 weeks which all include crutches, and then NO running for 6 months :( did I mention I need to get both feet done!! Hoping after about 8 weeks I can get the second done, which adds another 6-8 weeks and another 6 months, this puts me out of activity for awhile, not being about to run and hike is devastating me! This is something that I hope will heal well and make my feet not hurt so bad!

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!
